Summer Workouts :
Soccer summer workouts will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning on 6-17 and ending on 7-31. We will be in the weight room from 8:00 to 8:45 and then play from 9:00 to 10:15 . There will be no workouts the week of June 29 and the week of July 20. All players must have completed 8th grade, have a current (within the last 365 days) physical and completed Athletic Participation Form in order to participate. Tryouts will be on 8-1, 8-4, 8-5 from 7:00 to 10:00 AM.
Expectations and Standards
We expect all players trying out in August to be in excellent condition -- strength, aerobic, and anaerobic. Use these standards to judge yourself:
50 good pushups in 2 minutes
60 good sit-ups in 2 minutes
run 2 miles in 14:00
300 yard shuttle in under 1 minute (300 yard shuttle: set up two cones 25 yards apart. sprint back and forth between cones. there and back 6 times , time yourself)
Challenge yourself -- be strong and committed. Come out to the workouts.
